It aims to ensure that everyone has access to safe, decent, and affordable living conditions. Mutual Exchanges
Social housing residents can apply for a mutual exchange which is where they can mutually agree a swap with another social housing resident. You need to:
- find someone to swap homes with
- get written permission from your landlords
- complete the legal paperwork
Do not swap homes without permission or the right documents. This could put you both at risk of eviction.
